St Elizabeth Centre, Playground Surfacing

Brief: The St Elizabeth Centre were looking for playground surfacing which was colourful, simple and fun. The centre provides education, care and medical support for people of all ages who have epilepsy and other complex needs.

The Challenges:  Protective fencing was installed to allow the team to work safely in the designated area, this also helped limit access and protect the students whilst the works were completed. 

We focused on ensuring that the works did not have an adverse effect on the environment at the centre.

The Outcome: The project was completed within the allocated timeframe to minimise disruption.

The project was a huge success with the final playground showcasing a colourful and all inclusive site.

The whole site features colourful wet pour safety surfacing with shapes surrounding each unit and fun block shaped trails around the playground. The surfacing is suitable for all users –  including wheelchairs –  and can be used all year round.
