Wetpour was the perfect surface to give St Dunstan’s the wow factor with their new playground. We were able to incorporate numbers and letters with the surface as well as games and line up circles with each classrooms initials. The much loved old roadway markings were replaced with a bright track complete with zebra crossing.

Brief: To replace an old synthetic carpet surfacing with a bright and colourful impact absorbing surface suitable for pre-school children. Fun and educational graphics to also be included. Abacus worked closely with the pre-school to create the prefect design within the project budget.

The much loved old roadway markings were replaced with a bright track complete with zebra crossing.

Scope of Works:
Abacus removed and disposed of the old carpet surface, excavated and installed a new stone base to an old flower bed area to give extra room to play. A new wetpour surface was installed throughout the large open space. A welcome advantage of appointing Abacus Playgrounds as their contractor for the entire works was St Dunstan’s having the ease of dealing with only one contractor from start to finish.

The Outcome:
A wow factor playground ready for the new pre-school class in September. The playground can now spark children’s imaginations and create a fun and exciting playspace all year round.
