Devonshire Primary Academy, Play Surfacing
Product: Play Area Surfacing
Budget: £100,000
Brief: Devonshire Primary Academy School wanted to transform their playground by adding wet pour surfacing with various colours and play equipment. They requested that their area reflected a sea and beach theme.
Surfacing Installed: Wet pour safety surfacing was installed on the site due to its impact absorbing qualities and ability to showcase colour vibrancy. To keep in line with the sea and beach theme, sea creatures were created using 2D wet pour graphics and a large scale octopus was created using raised wet pour
The Challenges: As this transformation of Devonshire Primary Academy School took place within the colder winter months, small delays occurred due to snow, rain and cooler temperatures. Despite these minor delays, the project was delivered on time.
Scope of Work: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, our installation teams maintained social distancing and wore face coverings when inside buildings.
The Outcome: A colourful eye catching play space which encourages children to play together whilst tapping into their imagination to role play.
