Ashby and Lamas Splash Park

Brief: The client were looking to refurbish their exisiting splash park as the surface had become old, dirty and covered in algae.

Surfacing Installed: Wet pour was laid at 20mm in black with new coloured splash pads to brighten the space and draw attention to the space park features.

Scope of Works: Due to the site location being set within a popular park and open space, care was taken to ensure that there was a safe working environment with minimal disruption to the public. Protective fencing was installed for the duration of the works to allow the team to work safely in the designated area. Special care was taken when installing the wet pour around the sensitive water jets throughout the splash pad.

The Outcome: A new and inviting splash pad was completed within the agreed timescale, ready for opening weekend. The new refurbished site has proved a go to destination all summer and the new wet pour provides the area with a durable and non-slip surface.
